Up to 60% savings predicted with high-efficiency motor pilot with Europe’s largest cardboard & paper manufacturer

Energent has been commissioned to deliver a technical motor-efficiency pilot with Europe’s largest cardboard and paper producer — a company well known for its circular-economy leadership and aggressive sustainability goals.

The pilot will install four Energent smart motor systems across critical fan and pump applications, combining:

  • High-efficiency Synchronous Reluctance Motor technology
  • EMS Smart Drive™ variable-speed control
  • Real-time telemetry on kW draw, torque, and load
  • Automated optimisation based on airflow or process demand

During the pilot, Energent will capture detailed engineering data: speed/load curves, kWh consumption, thermal behaviour, and system pressure profiles — benchmarking against existing IE2/IE3 induction motors.

Expected outcomes include:

  • 20–60% reduction in energy consumption depending on load variability
  • Reduced electrical losses
  • Lower bearing and winding temperatures for longer asset life
  • Reduced mechanical noise and vibration for improved system stability

Driving success to your business
